A good party idea is a Back to School Bash for kids. It is a great way for children to socialize with their friends and they also don't need to wait until the first day of school to meet their friends after a wonderful summer! It could be simple but it could also be more mature and classy for older kids like 7th graders and older. For a simple Back to School Bash, you can just order a pizza and have simple snacks like chips and cookies with pop. You can rent a DVD for a movie night theme as well. For a classy and more mature Back to School Bash, you can have fancy things like hor'douveres, mini sandwiches, soup in nicely designed ceramic cups, pizza slices, and fruit dipped in chocolate. Both ways are wonderful but it matters what the child is more comfortable with. Which ever one that the child likes more, the child has. For simple decorations, you can just put up a banner that says "Back to School" and have balloons but if you want it for the fancy party, you can have an elegant banner that says something like "Welcome Back to School" or something personalized like "Rachael's Back to School Bash."
